Unlike industrial rums, Liberation 2013 is created on the island of Marie-Galante (Guadeloupe) by combining traditional techniques and obsessive attention to detail:

The Raw Material: Produced exclusively with pure, fresh juice from native sugarcane (including the rare Canne Rouge and B47.259), rigorously hand-cut and transported on ox-drawn carts (cabrouets).

The Fermentation: Extremely long and without the addition of any acids or chemical yeasts, a thermally controlled process that allows for the development of unparalleled aromatic complexity.

The Distillation: Takes place in small copper bain-marie stills designed by Capovilla himself, capable of preserving the aromatic essence of the native sugarcane intact.

Born from the extraordinary collaboration between Luca Gargano (Velier) and legendary master distiller Gianni Vittorio Capovilla, this bottling is the purest, most artisanal, and uncompromising expression of agricultural rum.

Distilled in the summer of 2013 from ripe sugarcane juice, pressed and fermented on site according to Caribbean agricultural tradition, with native yeasts.

Extremely prolonged fermentation and batch distillation in a water bath in small copper stills at the famous Capovilla traveling distillery characterize the production method.

The two stills that make up the traveling distillery are Muller column-stills specifically designed for the Rhum Rhum project.

The traveling distillery is a French tradition and allows the distiller to travel with his cart-mounted stills throughout the French Republic, selecting the best product for distillation.

Previously, the Rhum Rhum Capovilla traveling distillery was located in Maria Galante.

Long maturation in selected barrels, for 11 years, made from woods of varying complexity selected by Gianni Capovilla and Luca Gargano.

Aging in noble woods, which have held great French white wines, helps define a unique style of great aromatic complexity.

Most of the barrels used to age Rhum Rhum come from the renowned Château d'Yquem in Bordeaux, especially famous for its sweet Sauternes wines.

After time has refined the agricultural rum, it is blended without reduction. Very few bottles are produced.

The name "Liberation" refers to the rum's newfound freedom from the barrel, and the date on the label refers to the year of bottling. However, this is not the case for this bottle; the Vieux Millésime 2013 lists the year of distillation on the label.

Appearance: Deep, brilliant amber-gold color.
