The Savanna agricultural rum has very intense and above all unique flavors, for particular blends or to taste smooth.
Distilled and aged under the sun of the beautiful Indian island of Reunion.

The Savanna distillery is the oldest distillery on the island of Reunion.

The island is a French overseas protectorate like the French Antilles, but here nature is wilder and more exuberant.
The sugar cane that reigns on the island is the R570, and Réunion is a big sugar producer, through its three large sucrerie.
What Savanna supplies is the Bois Rouge, adjacent to the distillery for which the raw material of the rum is directly decided together with the sugar factory.
Raw material that arrives fresh at the sugar factory and is immediately treated so as to keep intact all the aromas and flavors of sugar cane.
Savanna's uniqueness is that it is the only distillery in the world that produces from both raw materials, cane juice and molasses, developing from the latter as well as the normal "Traditionnel" also the Grand Arôme style.
This type, now almost disappeared in the Caribbean, is a molasses rum produced with very long and particular fermentations and with a content of congeners higher than 800 g / HLAP and a minimum ester content of 500 g / HLAP.
The Rhum Grand Arôme has very intense and above all unique flavors, for particular blends or to taste smooth.
Also very famous is the Creol produced in very small quantities, with an ancient Creole alembic. The best Savanna rum.
The master distiller Laurent Broc, deus ex machina of the distillery, is one of the greatest connoisseurs of rum because he knows all the types and is very eclectic in experimenting them.
Also for what concerns the aging, Laurent has designed and produced a structure of ducts and valves that connect all the barrels that contain the youngest rums, in order to move the liquid very frequently in the first 18 months in large barrels in order to find balance and ventilation.
