Linkwood whiskey is very rare. Normally distillery devotes 100% of its distillate to blended composition, and they are really very few releases of this single malt.

Linkwood is one of the distilleries that for a long time has been accompanied by the Glenlivet suffix. One of the artists of the success was such Innes Cameron who acquired the distillery in 1902 and contributed to the expansion until 1932 when he died and the distillery passed to the Scottish Malt Distillers

The distillery has been subject to many expansions and remodeling and is largely modern in Clynelish and Caol Ila style, although it conserves some original pieces from 1872 (warehouse 6 and kiln with pagoda).
Linkwood has always been very fond of the blender, with its fresh, herbaceous character and with a great tasting persistence, and for this reason official expressions have always been few and almost always had to be entrusted to the independents.
