In 1838 Queen Victoria repeated the honors, making the Royal Brackla one of the most respected whiskeys of her generation.

The Royal Brackla following the re-acquisition by the Bacardi group definitively closed its doors in 1991.

At that time many independent bottlers, including the Cadenhead made the right choice to grab the last "casks" available from distilleries about to close.
