The history of the Limestone Branch Distillery begins in 1770, with the birth of Jacob Beam, a farmer who, in the heart of Kentucky - not far from where the distillery is currently based - from 1795 devoted himself to the production of Bourbon.

Since then, going through different historical moments and periods - just think of the wave of prohibition that for a long time stopped the production of alcohol in the U.S.A., but which did not incredibly stop the distillery's activity, which thanks to a trick continued to sell the Bourbon as a medicine, proposing it under medical prescription! -, the distillery's activity continued with an incredible line of continuity.

The name of the most popular Bourbon was "Yellowstone", which refers to the homonymous National Park, which, just inaugurated, attracted the attendance and enthusiasm of the inhabitants of the entire state; to "capitalize" on this success, a Bourbon brand with the same name was launched, whose sales peaked in 1960, the year in which Yellowstone became the best-selling brand in Kentucky.

Coming to recent years, since 2010 at the head of the distillery we find Steve and Paul Beam, who using a strain of yeast from 1895, lovingly preserved over time, produce about one barrel of Whiskey a day, using a Pot Still still with the ability to 150 gallons.

The entire production is "Old Fashioned": everything is done manually, from production to labeling, while the raw materials, such as cereals and water, come from areas adjacent to the distillery.

All the Whiskeys made today are not cold filtered and are bottled without the addition of dyes.
