Tomintoul is the distillery with a gentle sip, it amazes with its soft and silky single malts.

Tomintoul Distillery is located within the picturesque estate of Glenlivet, within the Speyside region.

The distillery takes its name from the nearby village of Tomintoul, the highest village in the Scottish Highlands.

The distillery was built in 1964 and still uses traditional techniques that date back hundreds of years.

Tomintoul has a modern look and was opened in 1965.

In its short life it has changed six owners and only in 2000 did it find peace with Angus Distillers.

Like almost all distilleries, it has served the blended market and only for a few years has it entered the single malt market with an increasing presence.

The core range has been enriched with many expressions, including a 1st, a 14 and a 21 year old and some finishing. A few very old bottlings have also been released including a 40 year old.

The latest addition to the distillery is the Cigar Malt, a single malt specially designed for pairing with Caribbean cigars.

Aged in ex oloroso casks, sherry is a must try, amazing!
