List of products by brand Valdespino

Valdespino is famous for its grapes coming exclusively from one of the best vineyards in the Sherry Triangle, namely Macharnudo, a hilly terrain rich in chalk located southwest of Jerez.

Valdespino has been growing vines in the Sherry Triangle since 1264 and producing wine since 1430.

However, the official registration of the bodegas only took place in 1875, but it immediately became, in 1883, the official supplier of its sherry to the royal court of Spain and established itself as one of the most important and esteemed bodegas.

The history of the Valdespino cellars dates back to 1264, but since 1999 the company has belonged to the Estevez family, who, by acquiring the company, also came into possession of some old barrels containing rum, distilled in Cuba in the first half of 1940, and immediately after sent to Spain.

All of the Valdepino soleras (around 25,000 barrels in total) have been moved from the old cellars, which have fallen into serious disrepair, to a new computer-monitored facility on the outskirts of Jerez.

Some of the most important vineyards are in the Pago Macharnudo Alto, a renowned area that produces grapes for specific sherries, such as Fino Inocente, making them single-varietal sherries, which are rare to find today.
