Aberfeldy is one of the most famous distilleries in Perthshire and its Single Malts are highly appreciated by enthusiasts and professionals.

In the centre of Scotland and more precisely on the River Tay, in the county of Perth, of which Aberfeldy is considered a real gem.

Its production of Whisky began in 1898, thanks to the will of the two sons of John Dewar, Thomas Robert and Alexander: one a born entrepreneur, the other a very expert master blender.

Founded in 1897 and operational since 1898, it has seen the sons of John Dewar, a fundamental figure in the history of Scottish Whisky, at the helm.

Aberfeldy products have always been used for the production of the Dewar group's Blended but since the beginning of the new millennium the distillery has started to bottle its Single Malts, creating its own range of Whisky over the years.

In 1972 it was incorporated by the Distillers Company Limited, which immediately arranged for an expansion to meet the great demand for Scotch Whisky. It then went from 2 to 4 stills. Aberfeldy's activity has known no pauses except for brief periods coinciding with the two world wars.

In 1998, the Distillers Company Limited, then already DIAGEO, was purchased by the Bacardi group which launched the very first Single Malt 12 Y.O. of Aberfeldy followed later by the much more complex 16 year old single malt and the excellent 21 year old.
