The first Japanese rum produced with sugarcane from Okinawa, filtered through a coral powder filter and aged in selected Mizunara or Sakura casks.
Minoki Rum is a Japanese brand known for producing the world's first rum finished in Mizunara oak casks and filtered through naturally bleached Japanese corals. The brand is part of the Kamiki Spirits family, renowned for its Japanese whiskies, headquartered in the city of Nara, at the Ōmiwa Shrine, known as the protector of alcohol producers.
The Minoki product range includes:
Minoki Mizunara Cask Finished Rum: a blend of Japanese and Pacific rum, finished in Mizunara oak casks and filtered through naturally bleached Japanese corals. This process gives the rum tropical fruit notes on the nose and a spicy vanilla finish.
Minoki Yoshino Sugi Cask Finished Rum: a rum aged for eight years in Yoshino Sugi Japanese cedar casks, offering hints of Japanese cedar on the nose and green tea in the finish.
Minoki Sakura Cask Finished Rum: a rum aged for twelve years in Japanese Sakura cherry casks, with cherry blossom notes on the nose and a finish with hints of wild berries.
A diversity among rums produced worldwide is also pursued by filtering the distillate through a filter made of Pacific coral powder. Minoki Distillery collaborates with the Sekiseishouko Coral Foundation for the preservation and development of the Pacific coral reef, using only dead coral for the filter, which is then replanted onto the reef by living coral.
The maritime environment, reflected in the blue-colored label, is also suited to the organoleptic sensations that present a saline veil of great interest.
Minoki Rum is committed to coral reef conservation, donating part of its profits and raising public awareness about their ecological importance.
Minoki Mizunara Cask Finished Rum has received several awards, including "DOUBLE GOLD" and "Best of Show" at WSWA 2024 and a gold medal at the Las Vegas Global Spirit Awards 2023.
