List of products by brand Selvatiq Gin

Selvatiq Desert Gin is the fruit of a revolutionary project in the world of premium spirits: producing superior spirits following a nomadic approach, seeking out the purest botanicals in the world's most extreme places, with a particular emphasis on the diversity of the land and native junipers.

Selvatiq is a visionary Milanese project that fuses the world of spirits with radical ecology.

It's not just a gin brand, but a business founded on the concept of "conservative foraging" (wild food gathering).

Here are the key points to understand who they are and what they do:

The Founders

The project was born from the meeting between two key figures:

Valeria Margherita Mosca: Master forager and founder of WoodIng Lab*, a research laboratory that studies the use of wild plants as a food and cultural resource.

Marco Magnocavallo: Serial entrepreneur (former founder of Tannico), who brought the strategic vision to transform this research into an international brand.

In the past, the project has also seen the collaboration of Charles Lanthier and the support of prestigious partners such as Velier (for distribution) and the Branca Group.

The Philosophy: "Wild Nomadic Spirits"

Unlike traditional gins that use cultivated botanicals, Selvatiq relies on the hand-harvesting of invasive or redundant plant species in specific ecosystems. The goal is twofold:

Environmental protection: Harvesting plants that threaten local biodiversity helps rebalance the habitat.

True sustainability: Each distillation is a "liquid story" of a specific territory, produced in small batches at the Antica Distilleria Quaglia.

The Gin Range

Recently, the brand has focused its line on three geographical variants, each based on a different, wild juniper variety:

Himalayan Gin Nepal (>3,500m) Juniperus Indica, Timur pepper, black cardamom.

Mediterranean Gin Sardinia: Juniperus oxycedrus, wild myrtle, fig leaves, bitter orange.

Desert Gin Utah (USA): Juniperus osteosperma, herbs typical of the arid regions of America.

Although the botanicals come from all over the world, the "beating heart" and headquarters are in Milan.

The city serves as a creative hub where wild flavors are transformed into refined cocktails, often presented in high-end mixology settings (such as The Doping Bar or sustainability-related events).

In short, Selvatiq is for those seeking a drink that not only tastes good, but also has a direct positive impact on the environment from which it originates.
