The Pellas family, originally from Italy, settled in Nicaragua at the end of the 1800s.

In those years in Chichigalpa the Pellas, in a very suitable land, began to start a large cultivation of sugar cane.

After 40 hard work to shape the soil and grow sugar cane, 40 years later, a distillery was founded inside the plantation, which later became the Flor de Caña.

From that moment begins a story of great successes, especially with exports.
