Step by step the GleAllachie distillery is becoming a myth among lovers of soft and round Speyside Scotch whiskeys ... so much so that it competes with Glenfarclas and Springbank.

Glenallachie was one of the new distilleries opened in the second half of the twentieth century and opened in 1967.

GlenAllachie Distillery began its first production in February 1968 with the capacity to produce nearly three million liters of alcohol.

Operations began with two stills and increased to four after just six months.

After a hiatus of approximately 4 years, Campbell Distillers (later part of Pernod Ricard) acquired The GlenAllachie Distillery and resumed production on April 24, 1989 - this was the start of 29 years of uninterrupted production.

The distillery passed to Pernod Ricard in 1989, becoming one of the main malts of Clan Campbell, a brand created in the 1930s and very popular in France but also in Italy after the broadcast of a funny TV commercial.

The two washbacks added in 2011 come from Caperdronich.
