  • Sea foam pipe or seppiolite treats with tea.
  • Very light, it does not require running-in.
  • It does not suffer burns
  • Allows tobacco to express its aroma to the utmost.

An amber-colored sea foam pipe, a stand-up shape and floral decorations make this tobacco pipe very beautiful and refined.

Sea foam is generally known as the "white goddess" and its admirers emphasize its surrender in a particular way.
The Sea Foam is composed of magnesium hydrated silicate (scientifically called sepiolite) found in Turkey and Tanzania.
Its origin is uncertain, but it is assumed that the calcareous water of the rivers has eroded the magnesia rocks and deposited the formed mud.
Possible geological changes would have led to a change in the river's course, leaving behind all the alluvial deposits at a depth of between forty and eighty meters, which would then have been pressed into blocks following the pressure exerted by the overlying tectonic masses.
While there are innumerable legends about the date of birth of the first pipe made from this particularly light material, on the other hand it is certain that the first European sea foam pipes were made in Hungary and imported by some aristocrats to Vienna, where a sea foam processing center developed.
Around 1870, over two hundred companies in the Austrian capital produced magnesium hydrated silicate pipes and the term "Vienna foam" was introduced into the pipe literature.
The best sea foam used in the processing of pipes is the block that comes from Turkey.
The original material of Tanzania is geologically much younger than the Turkish one and does not give the same yield and does not even have the same really white color which is instead equipped with the Turkish one, extracted mainly in the surrounding Eskisehir region.
Block sea foam pipes are usually made on the lathe.
At first the blocks are cut in the right size, softened in water and finally, still wet, turned and drilled and often there are applied carving or floral engravings.
While in the past the turned heads were dipped or carved in white whale, today the sea foam pipes are dipped in tea.
The tea gives these pipes a natural, vintage amber color.
Foam pipes have conquered many smokers because they do not require break-in, do not suffer burns and allow the tobacco to retain its aroma.
Each sea foam pipe is a unique and unrepeatable piece and the photos you see portray this exclusive pipe, the same, once purchased, will be removed from the catalog.
