A traditional tamper has a 90 ° pressing surface that allows you to press the ash and tobacco directly down into the chamber.
This is not actually the optimal way to maintain perfect absorption and airflow in burning tobacco, as all you are doing is compressing the tobacco and creating a "lid" of compressed ash.
The pressure surface of the B-Humy tampers has a 45 ° cut compared to the traditional 90 °.
This allows the collection and buffering of tobacco and ash from the edges of the chamber towards the center where combustion is more efficient.
