The Peterson 701 shape combines the classic Poker shape with a long and slightly curved mouthpiece.
The Irishman Charles Peterson began producing briar pipes and in 1890 discovered the famous reservoir system.
It is a tank in the torch under the head which has the task of keeping the tobacco dry.
All the humidity – this is the goal – is channeled into the tank.
Peterson's pipes, made personally and exclusively by hand, are the result of a long and patient process at the headquarters in the south of Dublin, where one of the oldest pipe factories in the world is located: the Peterson of Dublin.
Characteristic of Peterson's pipes is the classic, harmonious shape, elegance and practicality.
They are carved in the most selected and precious briar.
The processing of the briar is very particular, handmade with a chisel, it transforms the external texture of the briar pipe into a sensual skin.
Note in this model the elegance generated by the combination of the dark rusticated briar and the copper ring which enhances the whole body of the pipe.
