  • Kilkerran super peated single malt scotch whiskey, Batch 9.

  • Excellent gift idea for peated whiskey lovers.

  • Limited edition 2023

Kilkerran is the small Campbeltown distillery, "cousin" of Springbank, owned by Mitchell's Glengyle Ltd.

Here we present the limited edition 2023 Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch #9, the ninth release of the distillery's super peated product with an impressive 59 degrees.

Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch #9 is Glengyle's ninth release of a heavily peated single malt.

For this release of no-age single malt scotch whiskey, the distillery achieved a peat level of approximately 80 ppm!

A peat level of around 80ppm is only achieved by Octomore, another super peated Scottish whisky!

This single malt scotch whiskey has been aged in a mix of barrels divided into 55% ex-bourbon and 15% ex-sherry barrels.

Attention Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch #9 is bottled at full strength 59 degrees without being cold filtered and without the addition of colorants, a strength for experts!

A very rare and at the same time very good edition of Kilkerran.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Liquid gold.

Aroma: The nose welcomes peat smoke with notes of sea salt and brine, then come hints of honey and notes of cooked apple, candied citrus fruits and salted butter.

Taste: Slightly spicy and decidedly lively on the palate, the peat smoke is definitely present with notes of dried fruit, acacia honey, citrus, olives and a light touch of vanilla.

Finish: Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch #9 has good persistence, we recommend pairing it with an Oliva cigar.
