The most famous, sought after and refined Glenfiddich single malt is certainly the 18 year old.
Perhaps the most awarded of all the Single Malt Scotch Whiskeys of the great Grant family, the 18-year-old Glenfiddich is a small masterpiece of refinement!
Glenfiddich 18 years, Single Malt from Speyside, a geographical area of Scotland renowned for the complexity and refinement of its whiskies, appreciated by all for the particularity of differentiating itself from others for that intriguing smoky aroma, which is left to age in American oak barrels and fine Spanish Oloroso, all numbered and carefully checked.
A fine whiskey that reflects all the expression of the wood, giving us spicy sensations and great softness, a Glenfiddich with a capital G: sensual, enveloping and special.
Brilliant antique gold colour, it opens on the nose with sweet scents of vanilla, baked apples, dried apricot and cinnamon, toffee, ginger and bitter orange peel. It caresses the palate languidly, reproducing all the olfactory notes, it is warm but refreshed by fruity memories. It finishes long, vaguely smoky and with spicy touches.
Few bottles are available for this 18 year old Glenfiddich.
Tasting Notes:
Color: dark amber.
Perfumes: On the nose vibrant aromas of spices combined with references to peach and subtle notes of cinnamon and vanilla.
Taste: On the palate it is creamy, with the lengo clearly evident but perfectly integrated into the sip. Sweet finish reminiscent of oak.
We recommend pairing the soft and fruity Glenfiddich 18 year with an excellent Balmoral Anejo Xo Oscuro cigar.
Alone, smooth, but if you really want to dare, try it with a piece of Bleu d'Auvergne (French blue cheese with vague hints of walnut), they will enhance each other.
