Thanks to a lucky coincidence we came into possession in 2006 of this Brandy distilled from Aurelio Ravetto in Bussoleno in the Susa Valley.
Montanaro distillery was founded in 1885 in Gallo d'Alba, in the province of Cuneo, on the initiative of the stills Francesco Trussoni teacher, who had the idea to create the first single varietal grappa history, giving birth to made brandy Barolo.
The high degree 1964 from local wines with low alcohol content and high acidity, has been "forgotten" for more than forty years in the warehouses of the distillery now closed.
The barrels were then acquired by Oscar Farinetti, the dynamic "patron" of Eataly and the distillery Dr. Mario Montanaro.
Brandy a very balanced, tasty and powerful that best expresses all its qualities to combine with powerful Toscani XXL or Spingarda consortium Tuscan cigars.
DISTILLED IN 1964 FOR 44 YEARS OLD, BOTTLED IN 2008.
