The peculiarity of this Rum Sugar Estate Jamaica 1949 Moon Import, produced exclusively in Jamaica on an estate in the Nassau Valley, lies in the uniqueness of the territory in which the different varieties of sugar cane are grown, which due to its optimal climatic conditions it gives natural aromas and an exclusive taste to the distillate.

Each variety of this Rum is artfully produced, following a controlled process in each step: from selection, to the natural cultivation of the yeast used in fermentation, to the distillation techniques, to the mixing methods used, up to the bottling of the Rum.

The great attention to quality is what differentiates these products, a testimony of the continuous research in the culture of drinking respecting the ancient traditions.

Rum Sugar Estate Jamaica 1949 Moon Import is unique of its kind, soft and enveloping enhanced by a long aging in oak barrels in Scotland.

All the rums in the Moon Import selection come from original barrels, aged in Scotland and individually selected and bottled in the same place, since Scotland is the region of the world where the maturation of alcohol is the best and most regular compared to all other countries.

The color of the Rum from the Moon Import selection is determined by the duration of aging in oak barrels, but also by the product contained in the barrel in its previous use.

For example, if the barrel has contained Sherry for a certain period, the Moon Import Rum will absorb its tannins and will have a darker color than if the barrel previously contained another distillate.

The experience and ability of the Scots in the art of aging Whiskey is crucial in the exaltation of the characteristics of a great Rum.
