Beer distillate is common in the Teutonic tradition, but Vittorio Capovilla has finally arrived with the first Italian Bierbrand.
Vittorio 'Gianni' Capovilla is recognized worldwide as one of the best, if not the best, distiller in the world, in particular for his passion: fruit distillates, rums, grappas and also for distilling beer.
Capovilla defines its delicious grappas as the noble expression of a "poor" product.
The Bierbrand distillate is a beer distillate obtained by double-pass distillation in small copper stills in a bain-marie.
Vittorio made the excellence of the raw material and the purity of the spirits his real reason for living.
The beer, the basic ingredient of this particular distillate, is of the highest quality and is specially produced by the Theresianer brewery for Vittorio Capovilla.
This beer distillate is colorless, limpid and crystalline.
The Capovilla Bierbrand distillate obtained is full of aromas, hops and malt aromas and in the mouth it is an explosion of sweetness.
The result of this distillation and maturation is a product that bears some resemblance to a Scottish whiskey, but retains the typical tones of a well-produced beer.
The product rests for at least 2 years in stainless steel tanks.
It is then bottled, diluted with spring water and brought to an alcohol content of 42% vol. without adding sugar, flavorings or other.
