The wizards of Hendrick's Gin present us their new magic: a gin with brackish notes, accentuated marine, Neptunia.
Inspired by the unspoiled Scottish nature and conceived under the celestial light of the moon, it is a limited edition with a decidedly more salty, citrusy, creamy and elegant profile, in which to the nose it seems to be catapulted into the mighty waves that lash the Atlantic coast of Ayrshire.
A delight that is best expressed in a classic Gin & tonic with cucumber topping!
Hendrick's Gin Neptunia is in fact born from an alcoholate of botanicals and algae that make it a complex product.
Hendrick's Neptunia, however, does not replace the cucumber that characterizes gin.
Infused with an exquisite blend of locally sourced coastal botanicals and with a striking, surprisingly smooth citrus finish.
The packaging does the rest: this special limited edition gin is in fact contained in a very curious, almost mysterious and fascinating black pharmaceutical-style bottle with decorated label.
The recipe, perfected by master distiller Leslie Gracie in the distillation rooms of the Gin Palace, includes the addition of other unusual botanicals such as violet, rose, lavender, jasmine and seaweed from the Scottish coast that provide an extra touch of class.
The result is a very complex gin, characterized by intriguing floral and vanilla notes that anticipate a round, spherical sip.
It is a gin to be served neat at the end of a meal, or to compose classic cocktails.
It is produced only in a limited number of bottles, intended for an audience of connoisseurs and collectors, always looking for original and interesting novelties.
Tasting Notes:
Aromas: The nose has a resinous note of juniper, followed by intense floral and citrus touches.
Taste: On the palate it is delicate, herbaceous and spicy, with a slight salinity in the background.
It ends in a citrusy finish.
Hendrick's Neptunia Gin proudly supports Project Seagrass, an environmental charity dedicated to the conservation and restoration of marine phanerogams (seaweed) ecosystems.
