Ser Jacopo was founded by Giancarlo Guidi and Bruto Sordini in 1984.

Following Sordini's departure, it was led by Guidi alone.

He left Mastro de Paja and, in the same laboratory where the pipe was born in Pesaro, he created Ser Jacopo della Gemma.
