The Rhum Vieux 1984 of Montebello is a Rhum Agricolo della Guadalupe.
In the Montebello distillery still follow a traditional production method.
Sugar cane is harvested by hand on the steep slopes of the mountain in Petit Burg.
Harvested by hand, it is cut into long pieces which affects the squeezed liquor and then ferments before distillation.
The result is a traditional, old-fashioned agricultural rum.
The Rhum Vieux 1984 of Montebello is one of the last thousandths selected and marketed by Luca Gargano di Velier.
In fact it is noteworthy the colors of the vintage status mark!
Rhum Vieux 1984 of Montebello was aged in oak barrels.
Round and rich, it fully reflects the fruity style of the Guadalupe but, without giving up the intensity, it also has a clean and fine texture.
Rhum Vieux 1984 of Montebello is just a rarity, a great Rhum, very good.
Tasting notes:
Color: Amber.
Aromas: The nose is expressed with an intense and harmonious bouquet, marked in particular by fruity and spicy notes.
Taste: The palate is fine, enveloping, medium soft, with a light sapid note. Rich and long lasting finish.
