Hampden 2018 LROK The Younger has benefited from 4 years of completely tropical aging in Jamaica, in ex Bourbon barrels.
It combines the aromatic intensity of tropical aging with the freshness of a young rum.
This release contains a rum aged 4 years entirely in the distillery, and is a perfect example of Trelawny rum, with a congeners content of 1,697.9 gr / hlpa, of which 370.1 gr / hlpa are esters.
The three-liter Hampden LROK The Younger Pure single Jamaica rum is a second edition to be collected or enjoyed neat.
Indeed, in the luxurious box it is equipped with a glass pipette to extract the rum from the three-liter bottle.
The three-liter bottle takes the shape of the gallon in which in ancient times rum was kept and sold.
Few bottles of this 47 ABV full grade rum are produced.

Hampden still uses only copper stills today, so all rums are produced with 100% pot-still distillation and, as in the best Jamaican tradition, fermentation takes place for quite a long time with natural yeasts.
This guarantees the development of intense and unique aromas.

LROK (Light Rum Owen Kelly) is the most balanced brand in terms of non-alcoholic particles (congeners). We are talking about 300-400 gr / hlaap of ester.
To produce it, ancient techniques are used, handed down from generation to generation.

Distillation exclusively in pot still.
The production follows techniques in use since the 18th century which determine a high value of esters and which give the product a unique aromatic profile.
Tropical aging in ex bourbon barrels; they are aged 4 years in Jamaica, which is equivalent to an aging of about 15 years in Europe.
Natural color and no added sugar in the rum.
Tasting Notes:
Aromas: delicate flavors of mango and banana, complemented by notes of paint and pepper.
Taste: sweet and fruity flavors of fresh pineapple juice and orange peel.
Final: Long on sugar cane juice and cloves.
