Here is a beautiful Ashton Pebble Grain XX series pipe, produced in 2026, in a Brandy shape with a straight, square shank.

This pipe, with its slender Brandy bowl shape, has an eye-catching, straight shank, a great stand-up system.

William “Ashton” Taylor worked for Dunhill for twenty-five years, producing some of the most beautiful pipes from the famous English brand known for its white dot.

Ashton pipes echo the shapes, elegance, lines, and finishes of the famous Dunhill pipes of the 1980s.

But William "Ashton" Taylor's Pebble Grain pipes are famous for the treatment the briar undergoes.

William had to find a solution to remove tannin from young wood.

To this end, the bowls of his pipes are now hardened in boiling hazelnut oil, which gives them excellent performance and prevents the bitter taste typical of fresh briar.

This special treatment and kiln-drying make Ashton pipes among the lightest tobacco pipes in the world.

Another peculiarity: this treatment makes the wood harder, making it less susceptible to damage from burning.

Another characteristic of Ashton pipes is the material used for the mouthpiece.

A blend of the two materials, which he called asthonite, which he patented.

Asthonite mouthpieces aren't quite as soft as rubber, which is comfortable to hold between the teeth, but they are still much more pleasant than acrylic ones, which are hard.

However, they do not change color and retain their shiny black hue.

Here we have an Ashton Pebble Grain XX pipe in sandblasted briar, a slender Brandy shape, with a deep bowl for long smokes.

A well-proportioned and very light pipe. It is pleasant to hold.

The pipe's base is flat, like the square shank, allowing it to rest easily on any surface.

The dark amaranth color of this Ashton Pebble Grain straight billiard pipe is natural, and the shine comes from carnauba wax.

Each Ashton Pebble Grain pipe is a unique and one-of-a-kind piece, and the photos you see depict this exclusive pipe. Once purchased, it will be removed from the catalog.

If you require more detailed photos, we will be happy to send them to you.
