A beautiful, comfortable, and lightweight Ashton OldChurch X poker-shaped pipe with a light brown sandblasted finish and a wide silver ring, extremely lightweight.

William "Ashton" Taylor worked for Dunhill for twenty-five years, producing some of the most beautiful pipes from the famous English brand with the white dot.

Ashton pipes echo the shapes, elegance, lines, and finishes of the famous Dunhill pipes of the 1980s.

But William "Ashton" Taylor's Oldchurch pipes are famous for the hardening treatment the briar undergoes and their deep sandblasting.

William had to find a solution to remove tannin from the young wood of his pipes.

To this end, the bowls of his pipes are now hardened in boiling hazelnut oil, which gives them excellent thermal performance and prevents the bitter taste typical of fresh, tannic briar.

This special treatment and kiln drying make Ashton pipes among the lightest tobacco pipes in the world.

Another characteristic of Ashton pipes is the mouthpiece material.

A blend of the two materials, called Ashtonite by him, which he patented.

Ashtonite mouthpieces aren't quite as soft as rubber, which is comfortable to hold between the teeth, but they are still much more pleasant than acrylic ones, which are hard and cold.

On the other hand, Ashtonite mouthpieces don't change color and retain their bright emerald hue.

Here we have an Ashton Oldchurch X pipe in light brown sandblasted briar, poker-shaped, stand-up.

A well-proportioned and very light pipe. A pleasure to hold.

Elegant with its bright brandy color, silver ferrule, and black Ashtonite mouthpiece!

The wide, stamped silver ferrule, in the old British style, is beautiful!

The pipe's foot is flat, allowing it to rest easily on any surface.

The color of this Ashton Oldchurch X poker-shaped stand-up pipe is natural, and the shine comes from carnauba wax. The sandblasting is deep but uniform, perfect!

You'll never tire of admiring and using this collectible Ashton pipe!

Every Ashton Oldchurch pipe is unique and one-of-a-kind, and the photos you see depict this exclusive pipe. Once purchased, it will be removed from the catalog.
