Laphroaig 10 years old sherry cask is brought to maturity by reviving an old tradition: the use of a cask previously used for Spanish sherry.

Laphroaig 10 sherry cask single malt island has a rich taste thanks to the process of working the germinated barley that is dried over a peat fire.
Thanks to the double maturation that takes place in two types of barrels first in American oak and then in ex-sherry barrels, unexpected flavors are born.
From the standard ex-bourbon barrels the distillate is transferred for its final maturation in smaller ex-sherry barrels and left to rest in warehouse number 1, the oldest of the distillery which is located a stone's throw from the Atlantic coast.
It is this long refinement that creates the with the characteristic iodine notes that lead to an almost saline finish and with memories of peat smoke.
The smoke of this peat, which is only found on Islay, is its characteristic note.
Tasting Notes:
Color: bright antique gold.
Aromas: releases intense and intriguing smoky peat aromas, salty and iodine notes and marked medicinal hints.
Taste: it is complex and deep, warm and responsive to the nose, it is crossed by lively flavor and with good acid support.
Alone, neat or with a glass of water, it can be paired with 75% dark chocolate or marron glacé.
